Hold the spray at the suggested distance from the surface and apply a fixative to your artwork in a well-ventilated area. Before using, make sure your artwork is free of dirt and dried out. Then, use the fixative product as directed by the manufacturer.  

 

Shellac, varnish, and lacquer are all types of wood finishes, but their makeup and traits vary. Fast-drying lacquer creates a tough, glossy coating. Shellac is a resin-based finish that adds a warm, amber tint, while oil-based varnish offers a protective, amber-hued finish. Each finish has distinct qualities and uses.
